Developing novel therapeutics in different medicinal fields is ongoing need for control of various threats and disease. 1,3,4-Thiadiazole nucleus is a versatile scaffold in medicinal chemistry which could be located as separate ring, fused ring or newly emerged glycoside. Here, a look on some different preparation routes, biological activities of thiadiazole containing compounds and insights on the ring role from structure activity relationship view.
